Loyalsock State Forest
Lycoming & Sullivan Counties, PA
Description:
Between Eagles Mere and World's End State Park is a series of trails designed for cross-country skiing. They are detailed on an old map from before Wyoming SF was renamed Loyalsock SF.

The Hawkeye Cross Country Ski Trail is located in the upper third center of the map. 7.23 miles long, it is designed as a cross-country ski trail.

The Cherry Hill Trail and Sand Spring Trail are also listed as skiable.  Cherry Hill is a 5.7 mile loop located in the center of the map while Sand Spring is a 2.96 mile loop near the top of the map.

The Old Loggers Path, a 27.1 mile long circuit trail takes advantage of the engineering expertise of the early logging railroaders as it follows grades. The highlights of the trail are the many cuts & fills on the grades, Rock Run (one of the prettiest streams in Pennsylvania), the vistas that look into the McIntyre Wild Area, Pleasant Stream and the Loyalsock Trail region. This may be skiable, it is not clear from the limited documentation on the website. The starting point is located approximately 2.7 miles Southwest of Ellenton on Legislative Route 41110. The trail is blazed in orange. In cooperation with DCNR, sections of this trail are maintained, in part, by volunteers from the Keystone Trails Association.

(We'd really appreciate some feedback about these trails. There is no other documentation on the web that we can find.)
