Tiadaghton State Forest Lycoming & Clinton Counties, PA In what Kick 'n Gliders refer to
as the Black Forest area are a series of cross-country skiing trails
that have long been favorites of ours. Most are in Tiadaghton
State Forest and close together including Francis X
Kennedy, George Will, Ruth Will, Pitch Pine and Sentiero
DiShay trails.
Hours:Along the same stretch of PA-44 is the entrance to Hyner Run SP (completely surrounded by Sproul State Forest) and access to Hiding Bear Ski Touring Trail. Bear Paw Loop, still in the forest but considerably to the south is near Ravensburg State Park. Also included on this page for lack of a better place is the Broken Tip Cross-Country Ski Trail. Across the river and about three miles south of Williamsport, we are not sure who sponsors this trail or even if if still exists. But, we have a map and hope to try it someday soon! None Listed
